Buffets are extremely popular with your guests at carnival. To represent the party here too, you can decorate the table in a festive and colourful way. How about a colourful tablecloth, for example with a confetti or balloon pattern? The tablecloth matches the theme and also protects the table from leftover food and other spillages.
Paper tablecloths don't even need to be cleaned - they can be disposed of straight away. Spread streamers and garlands between the dishes for a real carnival flair. However, be careful if there are open flames in hot plates - after all, you don't want the decorations to catch fire.
Tip #2: Matching carnival table decorations
In addition to the buffet table, you can also decorate your guests' tables to match the ambience. Place garlands and streamers here too. Candles create the right atmosphere, especially when it gets darker. You can opt for real wax candles, but LEDs are a little safer for lively parties. LED candles do not pose a fire hazard as they do not have a real flame but light up electronically. Another advantage is that many models can also change colour and light up in a colourful way to match the carnival theme. Paper napkins are also safer with LED candles and cannot catch fire.
Tip #3: Colourful napkins
If there is food at the carnival party, napkins are a must. They not only serve as a means to an end, but also contribute to the atmosphere. The colours and patterns you choose are entirely up to you. You can also mix colours - at carnival it can be crazy and colourful. Paper napkins are the best material for boisterous parties, as you don't need to wash them and can simply dispose of them.
You can buy pre-folded napkins, but you can also fold different shapes yourself. At Duni you will find tips and instructions for various folding techniques. It is also best to use cardboard for the plates. This reduces the risk of injury to your guests, for example if crockery breaks and ends up on the dance floor.
Tip #4: Make your own carnival table decorations
If you want to decorate your room for a carnival party, you don't need to spend a fortune on party supplies. With a few simple tricks, you can easily make your own decorations from materials such as napkins. For example, fold several napkins into a fan and glue them together to form a circle. The small coloured rings can be stuck on or simply placed on the tables. Conventional drinking glasses and cups can be transformed into colourful glasses by sticking confetti on them. This works best with cardboard cups, which will be disposed of after the party anyway.
Tip #5: Balloons and fairy lights
Once you have decorated the tables and the buffet, all you need to do is decorate the walls and ceiling. Large, colourful balloons filled with helium are particularly beautiful. You can also hang so-called honeycomb balls from the ceiling. Fairy lights on the walls and wrapped around wooden beams look atmospheric and provide indirect light. Fairy lights that can change colour are a particular hit at any party.
