The colour rendering indicates how authentically a light source reproduces the colours of the illuminated objects. Optimum colour rendering is achieved with sunlight: The light contains all the colours of the visible colour spectrum and therefore reproduces the colours of the illuminated objects naturally. Most artificial light sources, on the other hand, emit a "poorer" light. They lack certain colours of the spectrum, so that the illuminated objects look different to us in terms of colour: Perhaps a bright white appears more yellowish or intense colours appear darker and warmer. This impression is not directly related to the colour temperature of the light source, but rather to the "naturally" prevailing lighting conditions in a room.

Especially in the workplace, light with good colour rendering is important - for example in the kitchen, where tomato, pepper and chilli should be easily distinguishable from each other. In the dining room, however, colour rendering is primarily a matter of your taste and style. Do you want your guests to appreciate the colour-intensive decoration or the elaborately draped dish in all its details? Or is a cosy atmosphere more important to you, with dimmed light and fewer details on the table?

The topic of sustainability is also becoming increasingly important for your visitors. Here you can score points with environmentally friendly materials, for example with stearin candles made from renewable, traceable materials. In addition, there are various light and colour programmes: By remote control, you can easily change colour temperature and light colour to adjust the effect of the light according to your needs. Just like stearin candles (see above), LEDs do not produce soot that deposits on walls and ceilings in the long term. Without liquid candle wax, your table decoration will also be spared wax stains or even burn holes. There are fewer costs for replacement.

You also score points with your guests with LED lighting. After all, you are setting a visible sign for environmental protection. Unlike classic tea lights, LEDs do not produce any aluminium waste. And instead of replacing the candles several times a week - or even during the day - a simple recharge is enough with LEDs. Depending on the LED model, the battery lasts for up to 25 hours without recharging - as is the case with our Moving Flame LEDs, for example. In addition, some models allow you to select different modes with different colour temperature and light colour. This way, one light source is available for several lighting moods.
